This kitchen in a ‘60s-era ranch house had a tight “U” shaped layout making it difficult for more than one person to work in the kitchen. It was also dark, with small windows. The space was opened up; an island was added, as well as a large desk area. Bigger windows and reflective counters made it lighter.
