The first floor of this 1915 stucco house is two stories higher than its downhill, separate garage. A connecting piece with a playroom, mudroom, and a roof deck accessible from the first-floor kitchen was added. Now there are both interior and exterior stairs between the garage and the first floor. The kitchen was gutted and renovated, and a laundry room was added in what had been a second-floor sleeping porch. (Some drawings of this project are shown in my Philosophy section).
